Abigail Trnovsky, MSW, LICSW

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy to children, adolescents and adults. I enjoy helping people solve real-life problems that are blocking them from living the life they want. I treat each client as a unique individual and approach the therapy conversation with that in mind. My approach to working with clients calls on concepts in cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness practice. I have worked with clients facing a variety of struggles, including relationship issues, difficulty adjusting to life’s transitions, family stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief. Clients have said that they enjoy my supportive, yet more direct and conversational approach to therapy. I am a caring and thorough clinician who will bring intensity and humor to the therapeutic relationship.

I am currently accepting new clients and accept most insurance plans.

“Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.” -Joshua J. Marine

Talking about your thoughts and feelings with a supportive person can help you to feel better. I help my adult clients and families to enjoy healthy relationships, manage anxiety or depression, and learn to have fun. I use clinical approaches such as psychodynamic, relational, and cognitive theories. I use play therapy with children as an approach that allows them to communicate through their natural language of play.

You don’t have to be diagnosed with a mental health problem to benefit from therapy. Many of my clients seek help for everyday concerns, such as relationship issues, job stress, or self doubt. Others come seeking relief for more stressful issues, such as trauma or divorce. I often see children to improve social and emotional skills or work on issues that interfere with their academic success.

I am pleased to talk with you about your circumstances and look forward to hearing from you.

James Marston, LCMHC

My name is James Marston, and I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I have been working with children and families for the last eight years; three years at a community mental health center, and five years before that at a school for learning disabled and emotionally handicapped children. In that time, I’ve helped a number of children and families learn to communicate better, change maladaptive patterns, feel better about themselves, and enjoy life more. I’m trained in a number of different therapeutic models, and have a lot of experience in helping parents institute behavior plans to change behavior in the families. I’ve been trained in a number of evidence-based practices, and I incorporate aspects of those practices into my work with families.

I believe that at its core, therapy is forming a positive relationship, and then using that relationship to motivate and reinforce healing and change. My greatest strength as a therapist is that I care - I care about the clients in my care, their lives, and their futures. I am excited about the work that I do, and I love having the opportunity to meet and work with the people that come to see me. I hope to have the chance to be a positive force in you or your child’s life.

As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background in education, I practice a therapy of mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral techniques, and acceptance of all that the client brings to the session. I have experience with couples, families, and individuals who are facing the challenges of anxiety, depression, grief and loss, identity, transition, and trauma. Therapy is an opportunity to join with people on their life path, walk for a while, and help to empower them to accept their challenges, realize their unique strengths, and find more peace through change. I always look forward to working collaboratively and walking with each client.
